Prohibited operation of medium frequency melting furnace
Some operations are strictly prohibited in the operation of the intermediate frequency smelting furnace. These actions may cause the intermediate frequency smelting furnace to explode or cause personal injury, which is very dangerous.
- The first is to add moist charge and solvent into the high-temperature furnace during the operation of the intermediate frequency melting furnace.
High-temperature hot metal may explode when it encounters wet charge.
- When the lining of the smelting furnace is found to be seriously damaged during the smelting of the intermediate frequency smelting furnace, the smelting will continue to be smelted, which is very likely to cause a furnace leakage and furnace accident;
- When the intermediate frequency smelting furnace is feeding into the furnace, it is strictly prohibited to make a strong mechanical impact on the furnace lining, which may cause damage to the furnace lining;
- When the cooling system of the intermediate frequency melting furnace is not running or the cooling water flow is not enough, it is strictly prohibited to start the intermediate frequency melting furnace;
- It is strictly prohibited to start the operation of the metal solution or furnace body structure of the intermediate frequency smelting furnace without being grounded;
- The intermediate frequency melting furnace is strictly forbidden to operate without normal electrical safety interlock protection;
- When the intermediate frequency furnace is energized, it is strictly forbidden to charge, ram the solid furnace charge, sample, add a large number of alloys, measure the temperature, and remove slag. If it is indeed necessary to carry out the above-mentioned work with power on, appropriate safety measures should be adopted, such as wearing insulating shoes or asbestos gloves, and turning down the power.
- The swarf material should be placed on the residual metal liquid after effluent from the intermediate frequency melting furnace as much as possible. The amount of one-time input is less than 1/10 of the capacity of the electric furnace, and it must be input evenly.
- Do not add tubular or hollow charge to the intermediate frequency smelting furnace. This is due to the rapid expansion of the air, which may cause an explosion.
- The intermediate frequency melting furnace is strictly forbidden to have water and moisture in the furnace pit.
